The Gravity Forms PayPal Commerce Platform Add-On is the most advanced and flexible way to integrate PayPal with your WordPress forms. Unlike older PayPal add-ons (like Standard or Pro), this integration uses the PayPal Commerce Platform (PPCP) to offer a "unified" checkout experience.
This add-on allows you to accept not just PayPal, but also credit cards, Venmo, and local payment methods directly on your site, without redirecting the user away.
Venmo Integration: Allows mobile users to pay quickly via the Venmo app (available in the US).
Credit Card Fields: Features "Advanced Card Fields" so users can enter their credit card details directly into your form without leaving your website.
Pay Later: Includes "PayPal Pay Later" messaging and functionality, allowing customers to pay in installments while you get paid upfront.
Subscription Support: Handles recurring payments and subscriptions, making it ideal for membership sites or monthly service fees.
Refunds via WordPress: You can process refunds directly from the Gravity Forms entry screen without logging into your PayPal dashboard.

PayPal Business Account: You must have a Business account (not Personal) to use the Commerce Platform features.
PHP Version: $7.4$ or higher is recommended for security and performance.
Install the Add-On: Go to Forms > Add-Ons in your WordPress dashboard, find "PayPal Commerce Platform," and click Install.
Connect to PayPal: Navigate to Forms > Settings > PayPal Commerce Platform. Click the Connect with PayPal button. You will log in to PayPal and authorize Gravity Forms via a secure pop-up.
Configure IPN: Ensure your Instant Payment Notifications (IPN) are enabled in your PayPal account settings so your forms can "talk" to PayPal.
Create a Feed: On your specific form, go to Settings > PayPal Commerce Platform and click Add New.
Transaction Type: Choose "Product and Services" or "Subscriptions."
Mapping: Link your form fields (Name, Email, Total) to the PayPal fields.
Add the PayPal Field: In the Form Editor, drag the PayPal field into your form. This is where the smart payment buttons will appear.
E-commerce: Selling physical or digital products with a professional, non-redirecting checkout.
Donations: Allowing donors to use Venmo or Credit Cards easily.
Membership Fees: Setting up recurring monthly or yearly billing.
Note: If you are in a country where the "Commerce Platform" is not yet supported by PayPal, you may need to fall back to the PayPal Checkout Add-On.
